Sandanski, Bulgaria

This is a small lake group of four lakes in Pirin, belonging to the basin of Sandanska Bistritsa, a tributary of the Struma river. It is located in a large cirque between the peaks Bashliyski chukar, Banderishki chukar, Prevalski chukar and Tipitsite. Their size is quite modest - 19.4 decares, of which the largest is only 7.8 decares. The highest lake of the group is 2,461 meters and is one of the ten highest Pirin lakes.
