+ 0 + 0 Area: 19446,67 ha. Slavyanka is located in southwestern Bulgaria, south of Pirin. In Slavyanka can be seen almost all plant-geographic zones typical for Bulgaria. There’s a large number of Mediterranean and sub-Mediterranean species, and invertebrate and vertebrate fauna. The area is characterized by a variety of ornitofauna. There are 134 species of birds, 21 of which are listed in the Red Book of Bulgaria (1985). 53 bird species are of european importance (SPEC) (BirdLife International, 2004).
